A native of Texas, Brenda Murphy brings together a life-long passion for the
west and a flair for working with pencil. Her skillful use of composition, design and light result in beautifully orchestrated
drawings that tell a good story. Most often her subjects revolve around ranching life, children and animals.
Brenda’s work
can be found in private and permanent collections and has been featured in Art of the West Magazine, Southwest Art and Western
Horseman. In 2003 she received the Patron's Purchase Award at the Bosque Classic, in 2005 the Patron's Choice Award
at the Western Visions Show at the National Museum of Wildlife Art in Jackson, Wyoming, in 2006 the Museum Purchase Award
